Fund a Program

All of Mirabel’s programs are inspired by the belief that ‘every child deserves a childhood’ and provide vital support to children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental illicit drug use.

Mirabel and its programs have a positive impact on the lives of the children, ensuring that they are given the best possible chance of a positive, drug-free future; a future where they become valued members of the community. Mirabel’s children and young people are invited to take part in a number of programs as they mature and their life circumstances change. For instance, Mirabel’s Education Essentials Program provides a constant source of support throughout the school year for a child and their family. Other programs such as Mirabel’s Crossing Generations Program and Mirabel’s Positive Transitions Programs will engage young people at a specific point in time based on their age, gender and needs.

Mirabel’s programs also provide children and young people with recreational opportunities that they would not otherwise experience. For example, Mirabel took 20 young people on a ski trip to the snow as part of the Mirabel Peer Support & Social Inclusion Program. This was the first time these young people had ever seen snow and been with other people who have had similar childhood experiences to themselves.
