Message from Jane – Mirabel Newsletter June 2009

The current global financial environment combined with talk of a national recession and rising unemployment can send a message of gloom and doom to all. Times like this impact on those already disadvantaged in our community and subsequently puts more of a demand on services such as Mirabel. However, it’s important to keep it in perspective and continue to focus on the countless children and young people at Mirabel who desperately need our support. Their future is our future, driven by a generosity of spirit of which I believe there is plenty.

Mirabel’s commitments and morale have the same optimism and resilience that we pass on to our young people. There is much to celebrate in the journeys of these children and much more work to be done. We look forward to continue sharing the challenges and achievements with all our families and supporters in the times ahead and, as always, thank you for being part of Mirabel.
