Mirabel Annual Report 2012

Mirabel’s latest annual report provides a fantastic summary of the work of Mirabel while highlighting the stories of some of the amazing Mirabel children.

Softies For Mirabel 2012

‘Softies For Mirabel’ is an annual handmade toy drive for the Mirabel children and the 2012 campaign has begun! For the past six years crafty participants have knitted, crocheted or sewn a Softie or two. Participants are encouraged to be as creative as they like as each Softie will be matched to the age, likes and needs of a Mirabel child.

Christmas Cards and Hampers

The festive season will soon be here and if you are planning to spread greetings of good fortune, good health and cheer for the New Year through the post or email, then consider including Mirabel's logo on your corporate Christmas cards. Whether you choose to send an interactive eCard or traditional paper one, each card will feature the Mirabel bell logo and can be personalised with your own corporate logo or personalised greeting.

Mirabel Ladies Lunch

Mirabel celebrated the past year at our ladies lunch on Friday 7th December at The Ivy in Sydney. Guests played Tombola and were entertained by guest speakers Jane Rowe and Emma Magenta.

Tour de Bress

The Tour de Bress is an annual bike riding event designed to bring together a bunch of like minded people of varying cycling abilities as a means of raising funds for children in desperate need of financial assistance.

Corporate Cycling Challenge

Corporate Cycling Challenge is the first cycling event of its kind to be held in Australia, offering amateur enthusiasts the chance to compete with and against the cream of Australia’s cycling and other sporting talent. In 2012 the event will be held across three cities - Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.

Welcome to Girl World

Mirabel is pleased to present this wonderful workshop by teen girl guru Dannielle Miller. Girl World can be a tough place, with bullying and drama as well as love and loyalty. This workshop (80 min) empowers parents and educators to help girls successfully navigate Girl World.

ComedyFest!

ComedyFest! was a brilliant event with an exceptional three course dinner, great wines, stunning venue and endless laughter. Comedians Jimeoin, Lawrence Mooney, Judith Lucy and Ronny Chieng entertained the audience at the Ivy Room, Sydney, on Wednesday 24th October 2012.

Grassroots Sportsmen's Club - The 10th Lunch Extravaganza

The Grassroots Sportsmen's Club is proud to be hosting its 10th lunch event, and promise that it will be the best yet.

'Play Your Part' - National Child Protection Week 2012

National Child Protection Week (2nd  - 8th September) will be launched by the Governor-General on 2 September 2012. This year, the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) and other concerned organisations will continue to reinforce the key messages “Protecting children is everyone’s business” and “Play Your Part” to protect children. Mirabel believes that every child deserves a childhood and investing in children is the most compassionate and economic investment we can make.

Rock 'n' Roll Memorabilia - Woodstock, Elvis and Rock Chefs

Did you know that Mirabel was launched with a two-night benefit concert? Our strong links to the music and entertainment industry have developed over the past 14 years, resulting in numerous collaborations to produce a range of Rock 'n' Roll memorabilia that match the tastes of many music aficionados. From Woodstock to Elvis and current Australian rock artists, all memorabilia is available on our Retail Therapy page.

Entertainment Book 2012

Buy your Entertainment Book online this year and $13 from every sale will go to the Mirabel Foundation.

Mirabel Patron, Barbara Holborow

Mirabel Patron, Barbara Holborow has sadly passed away. Barbara was a fierce advocate for the many Mirabel children and families and her wisdom, compassion and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed by us all. Our love and thoughts are with her family, friends and the countless young people whose lives she touched.

Music, Mirth & Mayhem 14

Fourteen awesome years of Music, Mirth and Mayhem and this Melbourne International Comedy Festival highlight was back for ONE NIGHT ONLY - 16th April. 2012 line-up: Daniel Kitson, Wil Anderson, Dave Hughes, Judith Lucy, Greg Fleet, Lawrence Mooney, Anyone for Tennis?, Francesca Martinez, Anthony De Masi, Dave Larkin, Rebecca Barnard and Mikey Robins.  Thanks to all the comedians, musicians, the magician and the Hi-Fi Bar for entertaining us.

'Dynamo behind kids charity' - The Australian Financial Review

The Mirabel Foundation started in 1998 with a fundraising concert and since then Mirabel's Founder and CEO Jane Rowe has been building relationships with the entertainment industry, corporations and philanthropists to secure the finances needed to run programs for the Mirabel children.

Laura Robins' Photographic Exhibition - Melbourne

Laura Robins’ photographic exhibition was launched at Mossgreen Gallery on Tuesday April 17. Attendees purchased a selection of Laura Robins' photographs and were entertained by MC's Mikey Robins and Greg Fleet. Thanks to the CorriLee Foundation and Moss Green Gallery for their support of Mirabel.

Hawthorn Football Club Match Day Charity

Hawthorn Football Club nominated Mirabel as the match day charity for their game against the Adelaide Crows on Sunday 15th April at the MCG. Mirabel collected funds on the MCG concourse prior to the match and all funds raised will go directly to assist the Mirabel children.

2012 Victorian Honour Roll of Women

Congratulations to our amazing CEO, Jane Rowe. She was inducted onto the Victorian Honour Roll of Women in March 2012 for being remarkable and inspirational.
